Instonians all-rounder James Hunter could make his Inter-Provincial debut on Tuesday after being named in the Northern Knights 13-man squad for their trip to Munster Reds.
The 17-year-old impressed in the intra-squad games ahead of the Inter-Pro season, scoring a half-century in the first match and also helped Instonians reach the Robinson Services Cup semi-finals at the weekend, where they lost out to eventual champions North Down.
Bowling left-arm pace and batting in the middle order, Hunter will bring variation to the Knights squad as they take on the Reds at The Mardyke (1:30pm).
After defeat to Leinster Lightning last Thursday, the Knights lost their Twenty20 Trophy crown and a second-placed finish is secured whatever the result against Munster.
They start their 50-over campaign on Thursday at Shaws Bridge against the North West Warriors (10:15am).
Squad: Gary Wilson (Capt), Mark Adair, Ross Adair, David Delany, Shane Getkate, James McCollum, Jacob Mulder, Ruhan Pretorius, Harry Tector, CJ van der Walt. James Hunter, Josh Manley.
