Ross Adair has been named Robinson Services and D&P Cricket Player of the Week after scoring 92 from 38 deliveries in CSNI’s nine-wicket Robinson Services Cup victory over Carrickfergus on Saturday.
Set a target of 166 in 20 overs after Carrick opener George Munsey struck 80 from 42 balls (five fours, seven sixes), the CSNI opening duo of Adair and Marc Ellison (59* – 38 balls; nine fours, two sixes) put on 156 for the first wicket in 12.1 overs.
Adair’s blistering 54-minute stay at the crease contained six fours and eight sixes as he helped his side pick up a third league win from four games by scoring at a strike-rate of 242.1.
It continues a fine start to the 2020 season for Adair who scored 89 and 40* in Northern Knights practice games while he has also picked up six Robinson Services Cup wickets.
For his performance on Saturday, Adair receives a £50 voucher to spend on equipment at D&P Cricket.
